How To Be Intentional During Conference Season

Hello, beautiful teacher! I hope you’re enjoying your summer and soaking in every single moment! I’ve been more present during my summer days than ever before, and I am so thankful for it!

I took all of June off. Completely and totally off! No social media, no computer, no email… nothing! It was glorious! I napped 28 of the 30 days, played and made precious memories with my kids and even got to go on a special trip to Mexico with Paul (el esposo loco) for a dear friend’s wedding!

It’s Conference Season!

I am checking in with you now because it’s CONFERENCE SEASON!!! YAYYY!!! I am here to make sure you’re being intentional during Conference Season! I want to help you maximize your time and learning this conference season!

Tomorrow, Conference in the Cloud starts! I am SO excited! I am presenting 2-3 times per day and have a Group Coaching and Q&A session every morning! I am also hoping to take Mandarin with Diane Neubauer! My favorite part about this conference is that EVERY SINGLE SESSION, language lab, and class is recorded, and participants have access until January 31st, 2023, so there is literally no #FOMO!

There is still time to join us if you’d like, just click here and let the fun begin!

How to be Intentional

conference intentionally

I created these awesome “Conferencing Intentionally” worksheets which you can download for FREE by following the link.

I made them last year to help myself and others on my email list be more intentional about how they were observing language labs and engaging in workshops and presentations in order to maximize their conference experience.

There are four pages included. One page:

  1. for notes and observations during language labs.
  2. for notes and observations during workshops.
  3. with guiding questions and prompts to help you when you’re observing during language labs.
  4. with guiding questions and prompts to help you when you’re engaging in a workshop or presentation.

Next week, iFLT starts and I know I already have butterflies in my stomach at the thought of being IN PERSON with some of my favorite people in the world! I can’t wait to reconnect with many of you who will be attending virtually, and I am stoked for those of you participating in the virtual option which is brand new this year!

Whether you choose to use these observation pages to bring more intentionality to your conference season at Conference in the Cloud, iFLT, another conference, or to observe your colleagues’ classes throughout the year, I hope they prove as useful to you as they have been for me!
